This patch will update version 2.1 of the Grayscale QuickCam software to version 2.1.1.  If you choose to patch the Grayscale QuickCam extensions, you must restart your computer for the changes to take effect.

About this patch…

This patch will update previous versions of the Grayscale QuickCam software to version 2.1.1.  Please consult the Read Me file which accompanies this patch for details on changes and late breaking news.

This patch cannot work properly while virus detection software is running.  Please make sure that you have disabled any virus detectors before applying the patch.  This can most easily be accomplished by restarting your computer and holding down the 'shift' key to disable all of your extensions.

How this patch works…

Once you choose the 'patch' option, you will be asked to locate the old Grayscale QuickCam components to be updated.  Navigate through your hard disks using the 'find' dialog and, once you have located the old item, click on it and hit the 'patch' button.

For the QuickCam applications, the patch will create a new updated copy of the program, leaving the old copy untouched.  When updating the Grayscale QuickCam extensions, the patch will replace the old version with the newer, updated copy.  If you have trouble finding a requested item, you can skip it and apply the patch later after you have found or re-installed it.
